Alternative history: What if the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade never happened

What if the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade never happened?

Context

The Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade was an event which changed the demographics of the American continent. As a result, the American continent is dominated by white people and black people. This process was part of the Columbian Exchange, which was the exchange of goods between the Old World (Europe, Africa and Asia) and the New World (America). This process had caused West Africa (especially the coastal areas) to lose a large proportion of its population. The black people had replaced the Native Americans who died away due to the smallpox epidemic. But what if the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade never happened:

Alternative scenario

In the real timeline, there was an exchange of goods between the Old World (Europe, Africa and Asia) and the New World (America), and that also happens in this imaginary alternative timeline. European colonisation of the American continent would still happen in this alternative timeline because the Europeans wanted to look for natural resources in the New World.

In terms of demographics, there are many differences between the real timeline and this alternative timeline. In this alternative timeline, West Africa would not lose a large proportion of its population due to slave trade, but paid labour (not slaves) from Native American tribes (especially the Great Plains tribes) would be sent to work in the fields by European colonists. But there would still be a similarity between this the real timeline and this alternative timeline. In both timelines, many groups of Native American tribes, such as the Algonquinians, Aztecs, Taíno, Carib and some of the Inca did lose a large part of its population, and also the native tribes of California, due to them not having an immunity to smallpox brought by European colonists, whereas other Native American tribes, such as the Mayans and other Inca tribes, did only lose a small proportion of its population. In this alternative timeline, there would be compulsion for the Great Plains tribes to have many children to be sent to lands which are not their homeland, and these tribes would eventually lose a large part of their population in their traditional homeland, because many of them would be sent to the New France (eastern part of North America), Florida, Central America, the Caribbean and parts of South America (the northern and eastern part). In both timelines, the eastern coast of South America would be inhabited by mixed Portuguese-Native American people (Mestiço).

This imaginary alternative scenario would also affect religion in the American continent. In this alternative timeline, Christian missionaries, be it Roman Catholic or Protestant would operate in the American continent, but the process would not be successful in some parts of the American continent, which makes it possible from Muslim traders from Yemen and India (Gujarat and Kerala) to do da'wah (spread their religion) to areas like the western part of North America and parts of South America (the southern part), which they did in the real timeline in the Indonesian archipelago.

Had the history of the American continent gone down a different part, what people would think about the Native Americans would be different, as people would think that some Native American tribes, such as the Apache, Ute, Spokane, Nuxalk, Quechua, Aymara, Tupi, Guaranteed, Mapuche and Tehuelche, are entirely Muslim. In this alternative timeline, Russia would attempt to colonise Alaska, but it failed because there are no natural resources in Alaska discovered at that time, which lead to the British to attempt to colonise Alaska because they had colonised the northermmost part of North America.

In terms of demographics, the white population would be a majority in parts of North America (the north and the east), mixed European-Native American people would be a majority in the eastern coast of South America and a plurality in the northern coast South America. The Great Plains would lose 99% of its population, which would make the French colonists to send the Muskogean and Iroquois tribes to work in the maize and potato fields there. The Native Americans would be a majority in the American continent, with exceptions in certain parts, such as the northern and eastern part of North America, the northern and eastern parts of South America (where they form a plurality), Río de la Plata and the Pampas

In this alternative timeline, countries with borders made by European colonists would be Christian-majority countries, be it Roman Catholic (usually in former French, Spanish and Portuguese colonies) or Protestant (usually in former British and Dutch colonies) and these countries would have European languages as their official language. Native American States, such as the Tupi, Guaraní, Quechua, Aymara, Mapuche, Hopi, Navajo, Ute, Zuni, Spokane would be Muslim-majority countries which would have Native American languages written in Arabic script as their official language. California would be inhabited by Apache and Pueblo tribes, such as the Hopi and the Navajo.

The American continent would be divided into two cultural groupings (Christian America and Muslim America), and the Native Americans would be differentiated based on their tribe, ethnicity and eventually nation and they would not be considered as the one single people group.
